Support Tech II Periop SurgiCenter Edgewood
Job Description The Support Tech II will provide direct and indirect patient care to support the Surgery unit as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
Support responsibilities may include interdepartmental transfer of patients, environmental support activities, and operating room turnover.
This role will be able to perform the following duties:
Open sterile supplies (including trays) Assist with sterile prepping Assist with patient positioning Perform the role of Totter (Turnover Team-In Between the Cases) Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Qualifications Education, Credentials, Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient literacy.
BLS Certification Specialized Knowledge:
Sterile Technique Patient Prepping and Positioning for Operative Procedures Kind and Length of
Experience:
1 Year of Periop Support Tech Role, CNA, or other similar related Health Care Experience Recommended Skills Asepsis Basic Life Support Certified Nurse Practitioner Certified Nursing Assistant Friendliness Health Care Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
